Final cleanup In order to eliminate or lessen the artifacts left over from the cloning process, I'm going to perform one more sweep with the Clone tool. But this time, rather than sampling previous frames, I'm going to sample the duplicate "Touch-Up Layer" we created at the beginning of this tutorial. The reason for this is that I want to eliminate any pixels I've inadvertently added to my frames outside the exact bounds of the damage, thus minimizing visible flaws.
In my case, most of the damage on my frames is lighter than my footage, so I'm going to set my Clone tool's Mode to "Darken." (You could also use "Luminosity" or some other blending mode that will work with your particular footage.)
I'll se the Source to "Touch-Up Layer."
And I'll reset the Source Time Shift value to 0.
And then I'll just jog through my frames, looking for artifacts and cloning over them. And voila! Here's the result compared with the original footage.
